I LOVE
SYDNEY! I forgot how much fun it is there. I don’t know why I don’t go more often. It’s so cheap to fly there and so close – but I guess once I get there I can’t help but spend money. I usually book at ezibed.com for good hotel deals but once I hit the shops, the saving sensibilities in me disappear. I can’t hold myself back!!!
The weather was amazing,. Beautiful, fine, calm day and not too hot. I come home to extreme mugginess and sweltering heat.
George Michael was outstanding once again. He was more into it at this show than the
Boston one, but then again, there were 46 000 people in the crowd at this show! It was MASSIVE and I was right near the front! Only 8 rows back, which is about four metres!! I could have reached out and touched him if the people in my area didn’t all stand up and rush to the barrier to block me. Grrr. I was so pissed off.
But I was next to the VIP area where I saw Marcia Hines from Australian Idol and Rebecca Gibney from Sensing Murder and Packed to the Rafters. Marcia is so famous. She was stopped by almost everyone in the area for a photo and was very obliging. (I was too shy to ask). No-one seemed to bother Rebecca Gibney. But then again Marica stood out a lot more than her.
My mum came up from
Christchurch to look after Seven for the weekend. I would be lost without her! She brought my brother Poull up with her (the one who’s 21
st I went to a few weeks back) and my other brother Mike (Seven’s dad) came to visit when we got home. I come from a broken family and we have never all been together at one time, so it was pretty awesome to be there with my mum and two brothers. (I have three sisters too)
Bikewise month is over. That went fast! I was really excited at the beginning of the month, wanting to accept a new challenge of riding a bike every day, but after I crashed on day 1 my confidence was shattered and it took me about two weeks to get back on again. I did though and I have ridden heaps. It’s such great fun. I’m going to keep riding. It’s cool to ride a bike with Seven and he loves racing me. He always wins though! I just wish there were some cycling lanes around our area so I could hit the road and maybe even ride to or from work!
